Listing Items
LISTING REVIEW PROCESS & GUIDELINES
To maintain a safe and trustworthy community, all listings on PatriotBuySell undergo an automated policy compliance check before going live. Our team also performs manual spot checks to ensure adherence to our Restricted & Prohibited Policies.
How It Works: Step-by-Step
-
Submit: Create your listing and click List My Item
-
Scan: Our AI system immediately reviews the content
-
Flag: Automated flags move items to Inactive Listings
-
Alert: Flagged items appear in Red to signal required attention
Why Your Listing May Have Been Flagged
-
Standard Automated Screening: Every new or heavily edited listing undergoes an automated system check
-
Brand Name Keywords: High-end, luxury, or high-theft brand names automatically trigger reviews to check for counterfeits
-
Trigger Keywords: Words associated with prohibited items such as animals, health products, weapons, or services will flag the system
-
Price Flags: Setting the price to $0 or $1 can look suspicious to the algorithm
-
Image Issues: Using stock photos from Google or overlaying text or contact information onto pictures will often trigger a pause
Troubleshooting a Flagged Listing
Sellers have multiple opportunities to modify and correct flagged listings:
-
Initial Phase (4 Attempts): You get 4 attempts to resolve the policy issue independently
-
Support Intervention: If unresolved after 4 attempts, Customer Support will provide specific editing suggestions
-
Extended Phase (2 Additional Attempts): You receive two final chances to correct the listing with the help of Customer Support
-
Disabling: Listings that fail all attempts will be permanently disabled
Note: Disabled listings cannot be edited by the seller. You must contact Customer Support directly to reactivate the listing.
PBS reserves the right to take action when a seller violates this policy. Actions may include:
-
Removal of listings or content
-
Seller warnings
-
Temporary selling restrictions
-
Permanent account suspension
-
Other actions required by law or the PBS User Agreement
Why We Have This Policy
A fair and trustworthy marketplace depends on every listing meeting our community standards. Our automated review process and manual spot checks exist to protect buyers from prohibited or misleading listings and to ensure that all sellers operate on a level playing field. By maintaining a thorough and transparent review process, PatriotBuySell upholds the integrity of our platform and the trust of our community.
Additional Notes
-
Inactive listings: The Activate button is disabled for In-Review and Flagged listings.
-
Inactive listings: The Edit button will be disabled after the Initial Phase 4 attempts
-
Active listings: If the listing is approved by AI, it will immediately be visible in Active Listings. PBS Customer Support will still manually check the listing. If Customer Support finds anything that AI did not, the listing will be moved to Inactive Listings, and the seller will be notified.
-
Active listings: A listing that has a quantity of 0 cannot be in Active Listings; therefore, when a Non-variation Active Listing becomes out of stock, it will move to Out of Stock listings.
-
Active listings: When a particular variation in a variation listing, in Active Listings, becomes out of stock, that particular variation will be disabled but the variation listing will still remain in Active Listings. This is because there still may be 1 or more variations in the variation listing that still has quantity (not Out of Stock). A variation listing will automatically move to Out of Stock Listings on when all variations in the variation family have a quantity of 0.
-
Active listings: if the price is changed to zero, the listing will automatically go to Inactive Listings.
-
Active listings: if the quantity is changed to zero, the listing will automatically go to Out of Stock Listings.
-
Active listings: if both the quantity and price are changed to 0, the listing will automatically go to Out of Stock Listings.
-
Drafts: A seller who signs up for a business account and uploads the required business documents will still be allowed to create a listing even if the documents have not been reviewed yet, but the listing will remain in Drafts until all required business documents have been uploaded, reviewed, and approved.
-
The 4 Listing Statuses: Active Listings, Inactive Listings, Out of Stock Listings, Archived Listings
